This instrumental album was composed as I was awaiting the surgery date and as I recovered from the removal of the HPV lesion that was obstructing the functioning of my vocal cords. Thankfully the lull after the first wave of the pandemic lasted long enough for them to clear their surgery backlog and get me in before the second wave hit.

The photo they took of the lesion before the surgery showed that it had grown markedly since the first photograph from a few months prior. It had not only increased in size, but had grown onto my vocal cords and seemed on a march to eventually close off my breathing completely.

Therefore, one could say that I was most contending with the possibility of various levels of recovery (or non-recovery) after surgery as I composed these songs.
