I was going to wait for my voice to improve to finish setting to music the 18 lyrics I’d written for this album. 9 songs were complete in June 2019, when life hit some speed bumps with my father’s health. Then came the (possibly) acid reflux eating away my larynx (as well as facilitating many boistrous meetings on a regular basis), which rendered my singing voice unusable by August.

3 of the 9 complete songs were meant to become a 5-part cycle involving the American Martyrs church in my hometown. So, I’ve cut those out to make “Irrational Numbers” a 6-song EP.

I may get around to recording the last 2 “American Martyrs” songs, and release them as another EP. I suspect that before my voice is back in working order, I will have written more lyrics… and will be itching to move on, so maybe “American Martyrs” will become a 3-song EP. And the many other lyrics I’d written to possibly include on this album… may join the hundreds of others… that I call poetry.
