After a year of experiments and explorations, I decided to pare myself back to basics… guitar, bass, drums, voice. With my voice completely healed (and possibly with some new bass colours), I was wondering… what do I sing about?

Such a weird year… how do you respond or build anything out of all these global energies going every which way unpredictably?

I figured no choice but go with it… with whatever…

Interspersed between the guitar songs are little vocal and instrumental creations made with an iPad looping program (using the device microphones), then modulated and mutated in Logic.

The guitar songs with vocals were created mostly piecemeal… section-by-section: guitar, then dashed out lyrics, then recording improvised vocalization of those lyrics, then bass and drums. No thought to what might come in the next section or how many sections there might be.
