These songs are crafted, rather than with hooks... with the idea of being anti-hook. Just passing by...

Composed in July and August 2020, they are named after events:

1) Update: I am executive director of a non-profit organization and had only had time to provide one update to our board of directors since the COVID crisis happened... and that was just as things got started in early April. So I created this song and the second update at about the same time.

2) Vacate: Having been going pretty-well non-stop making adjustments to how our non-profit tries to continue to engage with the marginalized folks we aim to support... I needed to vacate for a while. This song was part of that process.

3) Relate: My partner and I finally went on an outing with a very small group of other folks... and, listening to stories from folks, I realized probably how pervasive the effects of the pandemic are, not just upon the "marginalized" people I work with, but maybe with everyone (if this "sample" from what was going on in the "mainstream" population was an accurate indicator).
